Does anyone know how to get rid of these dam advertisements from opening when I open a website? It doesn't happen every time, but it started happening a few days ago and it is getting a bit annoying.

sounds like you might have contracted a malware - try these to clean out your system - browser:

superantispyware

to block ads from the browser level

What kind of antivirus are you currently using? If not, please download a free version:

avg free

microsoft product

Thanks, I will run a VG and see what happens. I think it may be a case that I downloaded one of these silly advertising things when I install the free program a couple of days ago, that's when it started. Hopefully I didn't actually introduce any malware, but I will scan for it nevertheless. I have just gone through programs & features to see what has been installed in the last few days, I found a few things and have uninstalled them, couple of them looked a bit suspicious, I think one of them was link something or other, I have seen that in a couple of the boxes so maybe I installed some kind of advertising program by mistake.

I am running AVG At the moment and it's already found over 100 objects, let's hope that it fixes the problem.

Hey guys, I have done a scan using malware bites and it's come up with about 150 objects found. How the hell do I select all of the items found in the list?I don't really want to have to check 150 objects one by one. I'm wondering if I check the first one, hit shift and then click the last one, maybe that will select them all, I don't know

Even though malware bytes doesn't appear to be finding any malicious objects, I am still getting these dam advertising webpages pop up every now and then, normally when I navigate through a forum.

Also, is there any way of getting rid of that incredibly irritating rectangular advertising pop-up that keeps appearing at the bottom of Google?I know that advertising is really huge nowadays online, but it seems that we are getting adverts forced upon us, and I don't like it.
