Does anyone else have the really bloody annoying problem with this dam browser suddenly replacing what you are using. It normally happens when I am on Facebook using messenger, all of a sudden Facebook will close and www.trovigo.com/will open up. I've read that it isn't exactly a virus, it is part of another program that you inadvertently install. I was wondering if there is an easy way to get rid of it, it doesn't appear in programs and features.

sounds like spyware or malware, scan your pc with malwarebytes ( www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/ ) and delete whatever it finds, you'll be surprised what tracking cookies you have on your pc. if that doesn't solve the problem there are some other tools that can find this menace but those are a little more technical.

It's not malware by all accounts, it comes in on free software. It can't remove it with a program, you got to literally go in the registry, it's a bit of a pain, but you can get rid of it. It doesn't appear in programs & features so it's not just a case of uninstalling it.

I had something on my browser that was showing extra adverts; I would be on ebay and it would post up other ebay offers ect. Really annoying and my brother haqd to delete it but it took a while as it was all over the place. I had adblock and he somehow right clicked the added window and was able to remove that way. Then he had to go in to running programs to find it before it added itself again. Or it was in add ons or plug ins. I know it was pain and might as well be a virus

From what I've read, this website can possibly help criminals get information from your computer. However, I don't quite understand how other websites can describe it as being non-malicious if this is the case. I believe it was probably put on my computer when I installed some free software, big mistake which I won't be doing again. It normally only cause the problem when I am on Facebook, if I'm using messenger all of a sudden it will be Facebook and open up their homepage. But I haven't noticed a big problem anywhere else.

you still want to get rid of it; as like you say it could be doing more damage than you know.

In addition to your antivirus software, I suggest using some good free tools like malwarebytes, adwcleaner. These programs help with minor adware like trovigo and many others. Manual removal is also possible: tuttotutorial.it/guide/trovi (In Italy this virus is a big problem these days)
