Calling all your computer techies , I want to add a USB 3.0 PCI port to my computer so that I have a couple of extra places to plug in high-speed devices . The computer I want to put them on is a AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.90. It is not particularly old, probably four years I would think. Can I assume that a modern PCI card would be perfectly okay to install?

Yes an add on card would be fine as long as you have the correct interface bus on the motherboard of your your computer. Just follow the instructions for adding the drivers into the operating system.

Thanks mate, how do I find out if I have the correct interface? I suppose I should get the computer out and then open it up and check before ordering anything?
