I have a Blackberry and the phone is the only way I have been on in the last week... I use it all the time.

Yeah...I barely use my computer anymore...mostly the phone... forums work fine in the browser...apps just tend to make navigation easier.

To be honest, I think a more pressing issue would be to possibly make a direct upload option instead of code pasting for pics. It seems like it is somewhat difficult for new members who are having emergencies. I'm not sure if that is something that can be altered separately or if it's built into the specific forum layout, though.

Okay, I think that Johnny has got a valid point regarding the upload of photographs. What I have done is enabled members to upload photographs from the forum without first having to upload onto another website and then copy and paste the code..

However, there lies the problem, we can't allow people to upload massive photographs that have been taken straight from a digital camera,my hosting company won't like it if I take up too much space on the server, they will insist that we use a dedicated server, at about £1000 a year. The photographs will need to be compressed and made smaller first. So I still see problems arising if people don't know how to do this.

The largest photographs people will be able to upload will be 600 x 400 & 200 kB.

This is an example of the maximum size photo

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

still a good start, i just upload everything to facebook and if u rightclick on the photo and click copy photo URL not just the link at the top, you can transfer it straight from facebook.

They also sizedown the photo automatically for you Penn.

So just make everyone get facebook, lol, most people do anyway

I noticed the "choose file" button under the message on another thread. Very cool. That is a big win for the site Penn. Nice work. :cheer: I think people will figure out the file size. There are many sites that can resize pic files for you. I will continue to use photobucket for the time being; it is simple enough for me.

I agree with Cebo, The direct upload will help new comers. And people with emergencies.. But I use Photobucket to store all my pics.. Having lost a Hard Drive in the past, I no longer store ANYTHING on my computer!!!
