Several varieties of Shellie's do well in small tanks. Shellie's are fun to watch and breed well. They are a great intro into Tanganyikan fish.

I never thought I would say this, but I will be leaving Oscars behind very soon as I feel I want a new venture, something different to get my teeth into. I've also had enough of big tanks, noisy filtration systems and lots of big water changes. I've been looking around for something interesting and I came across shell dwelling cichlids. The fact that a 20 gallon aquarium can accommodate four or five of these little fish is absolutely perfect. So I'm going to be doing a lot of reading up.

And don't worry, this website won't be going anywhere just because I will not be keeping Oscars myself anymore, nothing will change.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

can't argue with the fact that big tank maintenance can sometimes just be too much, and change isn't always for the worst, it mostly is for the best :) and you know we will be excited to see your new setup :)

Thats cool tho I hope this article helps you a little!

I am glad nothing is going to change!

but yes I think this could be a great way to keep in fish keeping yet keep it much easier! and I will tell you what I have even seen them beg for food lol! so they are not like tetras or something they seem to have some awareness of outside of the tank...

some great colors on them to ... could get you a nice little set up of these Pen! I will be excited to see what you choose
