Jdubb644 created the topic: Fish out ot tank!

Hello around 3 am a tiger Oscar decided to jump out of his tank. It just so happen I was on the couch and I heard him hit the floor. I instantly placed him back in the tank. Now he swimming like he's tipsy and slamming into glass sometimes. I noticed when it was feeding time thus am all the fish in the tank were acting strange. Could this be stress of some kind?

Most likely, hence why I'm a big fan of glass top tanks :P I'd keep a close eye on him for a few days, but he should be OK.

Have to kid of equate that to a persona jumping out of a 2nd floor window, not a pleasant stop at the end.

As to why the other fish are acting weird that's a good one, sympathy pains lol, but really, i have no clue there, if it was only the one fish that jumped then I'd keep the closest eye on him, make sure he gets back to swimming normally and eating right.

Do you do weekly water changes and keep you water in tip top shape?
No Ammonia, No Nitrites and Low Nitrates?
If there`s food left over from the earlier feed maybe they`re just full but i would be testing the water first up to see if there`s a clue there :)

Like Miss Nicki said, you may want to disconnect the heater for a bit, unless you live in Alaska and the tank would freeze :P see if they are getting electrical surges or something.

Some tank readings would help too, just to rule out the obvious stuff.
