my oscars wound

as some of u may know my oscar had a wound which is healing really well u can see the clear scales trying to grow over the wound, but ive noticed they are falling off, is this normal?

injury normally that way...falling the cottongy covering of the wound.
any idea what causes that wound???? is that on the right side?

yeah its on the right side i havent got clue how he did it but im blamming the small tank his in, since he injured him self i made his tank bare, its healing well but the clear scale is comming off which is making it go back to flesh and when he swims in front of his filter as it has a strong current , lifts those scales off on his wound.

hi there

1. yes, every once a while our oscars do have wounds be it fighting among themselves or self-inflicted.
2. what i did is to monitor the water parameter very closely.
3. yes, i do add salt during the healing period plus "aqua multicure" solution into the tank.
4. so far so good for my oscars.
