Hi,
In my experience the best thing for fin rot is really good water. Fin rot usually comes on when they are exposed to poor water.

So to get good water...

Did you cycle your tank before you put fish in?
How big is your tank?
What filter are you running?
What are your readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH?
What and how often do you feed?
What is your water change schedule?
What fish are in the tank?

Get back to us with the answers and we can help... in the mean time do not be tempted to get any meds from the fish shop and throw them in the tank - they just mess up your water unless you are using them for something specific that cannot be treated any other way.

looks like your tank is new and not cycled...your fish is acting normal for having new tank syndrome: uncycled; stress from bagging; and unsure water
quality!

kindly answer Sharyn's post and we will help you from there!

The tank is 90 litres ( because there only 1.5 inches before you say the tank is too small)
Th filter is a fluval 205 ( recently set up with new and old media )
The tank has been set up for about a year now
I feed them twice a day when they splash around for food
25% water change every morning at the moment
Theres 2 oscars and one bumble bee catfish.

Ill post the nitrate and ammonia results in a bit.
Thanks for the reply Jack.

A pic of the fins would be very helpful as well.

sorry to hear your loss... but i was lost too...
i thought you just got the two fish recently... but the tank had been set
up for a year... have you acclimatised the fish before releasing it in the
tank???? perhaps your fish was shock and stressed during bagging!
