EdgeX600 created the topic: Albino Oscar Help

Well I went to the LFS today and seen a tank filled with Albino Oscars. So me being the Oscar lover that I am just had to pick one up. I introduced him to my 125 and the other Oscar immediately began bullying him. So I removed him as fast as I could and moved him to a 29 for the moment while im getting my spare 55 setup.

Question is, the Oscar is just sitting behind a stone kinda breathing a little heavy. Do you think he is just stressed out/sulking and will come around?

I would think if he shows no external signs of damage then yes that is all it is. I would hide behind a rock to if I was just attacked in a foreign environment. Any change is stressful enough to a fish let alone a bout of UFC to boot.
Was it much smaller then the other O's in the tank? and how many do you have in the tank right now? (from what i read it seems just one)

He shows no visible marks on his body because I removed him before it could happen. Funny thing is, is the albino is bigger the the O I have in my 125 so Idk.

Yes only one O in the 125 along with some silver dollars.

Hopefully he is just stressed and sulking cuz hes probably one of the nicest albino oscars i've seen

Well your other O did not like a new comer coming into his territory hence the attack. I have heard you could remove the first O and then reintroduce him shortly afterwards once you have the new O in the tank. ( a day or 2 later ) Sometimes this works.

Well he seems to be swimming around a little bit more now, he is still a little shy, but that is to be expected.

I'd take the bully out
I have 3 black oscars in my tank I had to take them all out cuz I want to add more fish, the 3 black ones are only 4"
I can leave my 15 inch Oscar an my other large one. But the other 3 just see it as a game I reckon
I just put 2 small clown loaches in there ima buy some more well the 3 muscateres arnt in my main tank
