so with my smaller fish in the 70 gallon (which i had running for 4 years with my O's) one of my blue acaras seems to of contracted whitespot. I have put the temeprature up to 30 degrees and have added some salt in order to keep the "ick" at bay. i was wondering if anyone has any quick solutions without having to buy expensive medicins as i had this with my oscars ages ago and with frequent water changes it just went, but this seems more severe.

as a side question does anyone know where i could buy some good bog wood etc for cheap because am i hell forking out 20 pound for a 18 inch peice of wood!

thanks guys

You don't need meds to cure ick Just keep the temp at 30C(86F) for 10 days and that should take care of it if its ick. I would also add an extra air stone in there to make sure your water has enough O2 especially since you added salt :)
