Dropsy? The scales raised doesn't sound good.

Is it all of a sudden?

It couldn't hurt to do a water change. But as far as any kind of treatment for the other fish, I'm not sure. Someone else should give advice about that soon.

You said the scales were raised and he was swolen. That's what happened to my betta after the nematode infection - a secondary bacterial infection. I didn't understand the term 'pineconing' until that happened. Do you know when it started or was it too fast to tell?

Quick Google search and it does resemble dropsey. Did wc today noticed it a few days ago but didnt think autonomic it until today the fish also looked to be hemorrhaging. No, no.. You don't have nematodes, he is saying that nematodes compromised his fish and allowed dropsy (bacterial infection) to set in.

Purplecandle is right. Sorry ... the way I wrote that wasn't clear. Nematodes should have nothing to do with your fish.

In the video, the fish look very healthy to me. Based on what happened with my fish and what you're describing, I think it's most likely going to be a problem that will only show in that one fish. I never even isolated my sick swollen betta and none of the other fish ever developed an internal bacterial infection or dropsy. Just keep a close eye on the others.
