It could be the little het is stressed from being a bit out gunned with the Argentea. The het is a much more peaceful fish in most cases. Its like when I got my regani. The guy who had it before me had it in with pretty aggressive amphilophus fishes and it had stringy poo and duck lipps. Major meds and force feeding of them got the fish healthy and even though it gets chased by the pearsei at times, it is not that stressed and is doing good. The het probably would do fine if after treatment you were to move him to the 150. But do you really want two hets?

I figured that maybe soaking the food in prazipro would be more potent but then read that it could harm the fish. so now just gonna isolate him and give him a full treatment of parasite guard.

If I could I would change the 150 to all central and go with 2 hets , 1 hrp , 1 argentea. but that would mean I would have to move dory and still run the risk of the argentea killing everyone in the 150 later on.

I think the white stringy poop can be caused by mild constipation as well as stress or a parasite, Frank.

Ages ago now... like 5 - 6 months ago, my RD Daisy had white stringy poop - fed her peas then gave her 2 starve days in a row when it happened Afterwards I fed her some pellets, and her poop was back to normal and it hasn't happened again with her.

About a week ago the happy couple (Henry and Adie) had a falling out and Adie chased Henry around a bit. He had some white stringy poop later that night (stress probably). I did the same thing as I did with Daisy and he's gone back to pooping normally too. In both cases it's the only time I've ever seen either fish get that kind of thing. I'm still keeping an eye on Henry but am 99% sure it was either mild constipation or stress related.

Maybe try feeding the little het some peas or something to flush him out a bit.
