It does. David, I don't really know what to say, except that your dedication to this fish is something else.

Update: been out of town on vacation now for 7 days now and left with a weeks worth of daily peroxide baths a dose of clout followed by a dose of copper safe in the tank while I am gone. Just emailed my house sitter who I feel very comfortable caring for my fish and she said it looks the same if not worse than when I left. If it still is alive when I get back I have my work cut out for me trying to figure this one out. Looks like I would do the hardcore force feeding of meds.

That sucks it is being so stubborn. For some reason I thought you had already started the force feeding meds already. Good to know you still have options. Are you enjoying your vacation at least?!

Having fun on vacation, but am worried about the fish. Fungus usually responds quickly but this is past the point of a outer body issue. It is a bacterial infection for sure and very resistant to antibiotics. I have spent a ton of money and am going to stop wasting money treating water and force feed meds into the fish instead.

Good luck David, I am eager to see something positive. May be a tad difficult for you, but a video of the feeding would be a great addition for others to learn from.

Back home from vacation and the fish looks horrible. It eats fine and shows no signs of distress or flashing or rubbing. I did a 50% water change today and will do another tomorrow since I was not around to be able to do water changes for the past 10 days. Then I need to start up something new...

Welcome back Dave. I read that your house sitter thought it could be getting worse. I'm really surprised it got worse while being treated with coppersafe ... I thought that would finally knock it out. I'd like to see a picture of it ... the pictures that I've seen have been when it wasn't very bad and it looked a lot like ick or velvet. I guess force feeding would be the next thing to do - you have some experience with that so that's good. I can't remember ... did you ever give an antibiotic orally?
