I thought I would add this so any just joining in or seeing this for the first time dont have to go through the whole post.

This thing has been going on for three months, and these are all the meds or combinations I have tried

Showed some improvement:
Seachem Paragard (First started with this for about a week)
API Triple Sulfa + Paragard (6 days and stopped working, moved on to doxy/kana)
API Triple Sulfa + Kanaplex + Paragard (just finished 9 days of treatment)

Showed NO improvement or seemed to get worse:
Melafix + Pimafix - this combo was used at the beginning of the treatment process and also showed no signs of improvement. After a few days use it lowered oxygen levels to the point where fish were gasping. Large water changes were done to clear it out.

Salt-at rate of 2 Tablespoon per gallon
Tetra Fungus Guard + Seachem Kanaplex
Fritz Aquatics Malachite Green
API furan 2 + Seachem Kanaplex
Doxy + Seachem Kanplex
Tetra Parasite Gard (x2 treatments)
Peroxide baths (daily for at least 10 days with other treatments in water)
Fritz Aquatics Coppersafe (while I was away on vacation in tank for 10 days)
Clout - Trichlorfon (Dylox) Dimethyl (2,2,2,tricloro-1-hydroxthel) Phosphonate, just one treatment as per package instructions

Currently trying: (showing no improvement)
MINOCYCLINE/ERYTHROMYCIN + Fritz Aquatics Coppersafe

All medicine instructions were followed to the letter with water changes being done where necessary and large volume water changes and carbon being used in between changes in types of meds.

So any suggestions are welcome....

Ive done salt and nothing. It looks like a fungus but upon closer examination it appears to be bursting out of the skin like a pimple. There is a spot stage, then angry looking pimple stage and then what appears to be a popped pimple with a slight fuzziness stage.

No flashing or rubbing against anything, no stringy poo, no signs of distress... you wouldn't even know the fish was even sick.

I really cant believe this is still going on. What about your friend that thought he would be able to figure this out

He ended up having some financial issues and has been selling off a bunch of fish stuff and backed out on taking Chunk if I gave up. He has contacted a friend who is pretty knowledgeable but what was suggested did not work. I still have meds so Im still going at it.

Today I tried a Methylene blue + salt bath for 1/2 an hour before my water change and redose of meds. Will check on Chunk when I get home but not expecting much.

Will also look into doing a salt water dip pretty soon. Higher concentration of salt for a very short time (dip).

Gonna throw something out there David.. what if this is some sort of ailment that is not curable, but rather must run the full cycle before it disappears for good. Maybe let it take its course? Perhaps a risk to Chunk's life, but I have to wonder what toll this endless barrage of meds is taking.

Yes I have thought of that too. Im really unsure what Im dealing with here and I dont know if it is something Chunk could fight off on its own. Does not seem like it from the way this has progressed from a little patch to the entire body...

Yes, dealing with the unknown is tricky to say the least. However, you have stated that other than his physical appearance, he seems to be fine. Could it be that, unsightly as is is to yourself, maybe this thing is not near as harmless as you think. My thinking is that if this is life threatening, wouldnt being afflicted for several months have had more serious effects by now? Just looking at another angle. Something has to give here.
