hi there

1. that is a silver aro.
2. yes, in good condition, it should be at least 12" or more in 9 months.
3. silver aros can grow as big as 3 feet especially keeping them in ponds.

Hi guys,

Just for your information, I'm not an expert regarding the arows. But I did some research in the past, specially concerning the silver arows, and as you might know, they are originally from Amazonia - Brazil. It sounds really amazing how flexible and how dangerous they are when we have them into tanks. In Brazil, this specie is known as "Monkey fish" because of the amazing jumps they do in order to hunt insects and seeking for food (it can reach up to 6 feet) , it wouldn't be so different in the tanks :)!!! so for this reason and for their own safe, it's highly recommend that you properly close the tank so that you avoid such accidents :(

A small video showing the jumps from NatGeo:

Cheers.
