Im curious if I can get my bichirs to associate light with food. The only time i switch on the light is feeding time. I'm hoping that in time whenever I turn on the light they come out lol. Has anyone had any experience with this? Do you think this is possible?

I started feeding my fish on a three day regime at 7pm.

Pellets on day with viatachem pn day one.

Freeze dry and peas on day two

Day three no feed.

at 7pm there up at the top at the water waiting for both feed days. On the third day they don't bother.

You can actually train fish with the use oif a small led light as a prompter.

It can be done , but i have had more nocternal fish hang on to their coming out the moment the lights go out.
Extra funny when during maintenance i accidentally turn off the lights, and the nocturnals come out at once.
Only to realise it wasn't nighttime at all, once the light switches back on...

I resolved to good nightlights....
