Or you can just get some peat & run it through a canister......Oscars(& Discus & Angels)LOVE Blackwater!!

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

ketapang leaves

when i see some articles about Ketapang leaves of Singapore, i became
curious and tried to find out what kind of leaves are they. and i was
surprised to find out that we have ketapang tree at my backyard.

just pick and clean some fallen dried leaves, dried them some more;
soaked it in water in a bucket for two days, and there you are...
you have age black water at hand... i do believe it is one factor why
my FH keep on spawning regularly...

I put oak leafs in my tanks I boil them up and leave over night before putting in tank.

They cant be british oak though must be the more jagged one like the ones in Bens link.
