Just finished setting up a new aquatop eliminator 36 watt sterilizer and the darned thing doesn't work! The bulb doesn't look blown, but what do I know. Anyone have a way to test a uv bulb?

This is something I've never used myself so I'm really not much help. However there are quite a few websites that give you ideas on how to test a UV bulb. Obviously it was normal lighting and I would put another light in and see what happens.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

Hi OFL, I did google before coming here, but I couldn't find any relevant info. The page you listed ( thanks ) just instructs to put a piece of paper in front of the light bulb to see if it glows. I was hoping for a more scientific method, maybe test for continuity between posts of the bulb or something like that as these bulbs are not the screw in type. There is a safety switch that cuts power when dismantling the access cap as well.
cheers
