Here is my 3 month old oscar. He's growing rapidly!

I did a 75% water change this morning. Just changed water, did not vacuum the gravel. But my water was noticeably cloudy for about 6 hours. I can't figure out why. And thoughts on why that would be cloudy like that?

i believe you did wash and cleaned your filter... in tap water... not using the old tank water...
by doing so.. you have bacteria bloom... too much new bateria in water... not in the filter media..

It could be because of the water conditioner. What brand did you use?

Oscar looks good. Couple of things come to mind. Is it well water, dry season and the water table is low? Possible coming from your hot water tank? Sediment builds over time, corrosion sets in. Had this very issue myself several months ago. New HW tank was the cure

Thanks Suprd71.

It's tap water. I noticed the water getting cloudy when I introduce hot water from the faucet. Is it hazardous to the fish when this happens?

Rocksor, I use seachem prime and stresscoat. I have been using both for a while now. Idk if it's recommend to use both at the same time. But stress coat dosnt detoxify ammonia, that's y I use prime also. I do this because there my be trace abouts in my tap water.

Unless you flush out your water heater regularly, it can pose problems.

There's no point in using both Prime and stress coat at the same time. Just use prime.
